Limitless Pool of Life
As the sun rays shine through, blue chromis viridis fish shimmer in the shifting shadows. I look at them, glinting and teaming with life, before remembering where I am. I inquire. The goal; to get at what’s so interesting about what’s struck me. It’s not just the beauty of these intricate creations, the world is full of striking things, that in itself wouldn’t compel me to be here and now, near middle of the Indian ocean, paused for this long. There’s something more, some charge that makes me feel the need to investigate it. I think of glory, how it isn’t due to individuality, but to prevalence. And as much as I’d rather be one fish, glistening in my own pond, magnificence, in this limitless pool of life, is actually what lies in the collective.
