Freediving is about inward power, discipline and control. If you’ve always wanted to enter the underwater world quietly, on your own terms, staying as long as your breath allows, then the PADI freediving courses are for you. Taking the PADI Freediver course is your first step toward discovering why freediving is becoming a popular way to explore beneath the waves.
As a PADI Master Freediver Instructor, I teach all of the levels of PADI training from beginner all the way up to PADI Master Freediver. Every course (except “Basic”) takes students in the pool as well as to open water and includes a minimum of 15 hours of training. Knowledge development is done via the online learning system PADI Freediver Touch only and there are no printed books available.
PADI BASIC FREEDIVER
This is a confined water only certification and it includes development of basic knowledge and a pool session. This course is meant for students for whom an open water session is not feasible or desirable. Duration: 0.5-1 day
No certification card is released
After basic knowledge development, this course provides basics in the pool before taking students to open water. The target depth after two days is 10-16 metres / 30-55 feet. The course also entails freedive buddying skills and practice in basic rescue scenarios. Duration: 2 days. More info…
This course builds on the skills learned in the previous course and deepens the understanding of freediving and takes students to greater depths (16-24 metres / 55-80 feet in open water) and longer distances in the pool. Duration: min. 2 days. More info…
In the master course, freedivers learn to improve their performance in all disciplines (STA, DYN, FIM, CWT) and improve their safety skills and knowledge accordingly. A lot of time is also spent on learning and practicing the mouth-fill equalization technique. Duration: 2-3 days. More info…
