Ras Abu Galum Freediving Trip

A two day freediving adventure trip in the beautiful and remote Ras Abu Galum – one of my absolute favorite places in the Sinai :)

We’ll explore the incredible world-class coral reefs, underwater landscapes, long seaside & desert walks, beach-side chilling-out / relaxing and sleeping in thatched roof huts or on the beach under a sky of stars – whichever you prefer!

I’ll have an underwater camera with me and will take lots of awesome underwater pics!

DAY 1 – DRIFT FREEDIVE & BLUE LAGOON

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM – BY CAMEL TO RAS ABU GALUM

We will go by camel in the morning, slowly transitioning from the business of everyday regular life into the relaxed and remote setting of Ras Abu Galum :)

10:00 AM – 12:00 AM – SETTLING IN / LIGHT FOOD

Settling in to our beach-side huts and arisha in Ras Abu Galum, we’ll enjoy Bedouin tea, light food/snacks and chilling out

12:00 AM – 12:30 PM – GEARING-UP

12:30 PM – 3:30 PM – DRIFT FREEDIVE

Freediving and exploring the incredible world-class coral reefs and tropical reef fish while drifting along the coast of Ras Abu Galum

3:30 PM – 5:00 PM – EAT LATE LUNCH & CHILLING OUT

5:00 PM – 8:00 PM – WALK TO BLUE LAGOON

The sunsets are absolutely stunning in Ras Abu Galum, so I really enjoy a nice long walk along the coast to Blue Lagoon, have a tea there and chill-out a bit and then walk back to Ras Abu Galum in time for an awesome Bedouin dinner :)

8:00 PM – 10:00 PM – DINNER, CAMP FIRE & STAR GAZING

DAY 2 – FREEDIVING THE LAGOON

8:00 AM – 9:00 AM – WAKING-UP IN PARADISE

Waking-up, relaxing, light breakfast of Bedouin tea, fruit, nuts, eggs, etc

9:00 AM – 10:00 AM – GEARING UP

10:00 AM – 12:30 PM – FREEDIVING IN THE LAGOON / NORTH RAS ABU GALUM

Freediving along the edge of the lagoon in Ras Abu Galum, exploring the coral wall drop-offs freediving, a bit deeper there than the day before. Another option (if the wind is down) is to explore the reefs in northern Ras Abu Galum, let’s see how the weather is!

12:30 PM – 2:00 PM – LUNCH & CHILLING-OUT

Lunch and relaxing on the beach in the sunshine, chilling out and enjoying the simple life :)

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – PACKING-UP

3:00 PM – 5:00 PM – CAMEL RIDE BACK TO DAHAB

Transition from the relaxed setting of Ras Abu Galum back to the speed of everyday live. We’ll relax, have a beverage and maybe an afternoon at Blue Hole!

The price for the 2 day / 1 night Ras Abu Galum Freediving Trip with Renee Blundon as your guide is 450 Euros per person.

A 50% deposit paid confirms your booking. The balance is payable on the first day of the trip or on arrival in Dahab.
